    There is scarcely a sin in the world that is in my eyes such a crying one, as ingratitude.
    I believe that virtue shows quite as well in rags and patches as she does in purple and fine linen. Tears are not the only proofs of distress nor the best ones. Great men are seldom over-scrupulous in the arrangement of their attire.
    An opening wont come to one but one must go to it.
    Facts alone are wanted in life.
    Haggard anxiety and remorse are bad companions to be barred up with.
