  1. Men's hats were so scarce one time that there was only one in Ballinglen. A cabin was made for it near Mrs Scott's, Glenedagh. A man, when going to town, used to wear it and leave it back when he returned. All the villagers used it on turns. It was known as hsrs baile Jlesnns.
