  1. There was a fair held in Ratheskin on the 1st of February in the year 1855 at St. Bride's. The fair was helf for many years after. there used to be pipers playing music during the day and there were dances in the local houses during the night. It was one of the biggest horse fairs in the west. There were races in johnny Hoban's land
    These were discontinued. People believed horse buyers would not come to the Fair after this . There were also faction fights at the fairs so they were discontinued.
