  1. Shooting the Ghost
    There were roastguards in Kilcummin and each roastguard had to go on duty each night. There were four protestants and one Catholic.
    On each night it used to fall on the Catholic to go on duty. The ghost used to be after him, so that the Catholic was losing his health.
    He went to an old woman in the place, and she told him to get a blessed coin and to put it into the gun. So when it came on his night to go on duty he brought the gun with him and when the ghost came on
