  1. There was an old Protestant school in Kilcummin about thirty years ago and the ruins of it are still to be seen. It is on the right hand side of the road which leads to the blessed well in Kilcummin.
    The latest teacher who taught in it was Mrs. Boyd. She is now dead and when she got married she turned a Catholic.
    It was the Coast Guards' children who attended school in it and any other Protestant children who lived near it. Before it became a real Protestant school Catholic
