    The Story
    About seventy years ago Colonel Knox lived in Castlelacken. The small chapel that was in it at that time consisted of a floor of sand built on the meiring of Colonel Knox's estate.
    There had been a back door on the church leading from the north gable to Colonel Knoxe's wood, and when the parish priest wanted to go to the church he used to go in on that door, and in order to prevent him from doing so the Colonel got a mason to build a high wall in front of the door.
