    The Feasts
February 1st, St Brigid's day in this locality is celebrated by going out in the Brídeóg's.
On the night before the 1st day of February all the young boys and girls dress themselves up in old clothes and cover their faces with an old curtain and then they go about from house with an old doll known as "Miss Biddy" and they dance and collect money in each house.
On June 23rd, St John's eve fires are lighted in this place and are called the bon-fires.
