  1. The saint traditionally connected with this district is Saint Brigid because of her miracles done long ago. Our church is called after Saint Brigid.
    Saint Brigid has two Blessed Wells in this district. People say that she is buried near Armagh. Killbride is called after Saint Brigid. She has a well there also.
    There are numbers of people called after Saint Brigid.
    Some of the feasts of the Local Saints are observed as holidays in Ireland.
    No people are punished for not attending mass on those holidays.
