- There are a number of harmful herbs growing on our farm at home. The following are some of them. The hemlock. The nettle the dock leaf. The hemlock grows in very rich land and along fences. This weed poisons hens ducks or anything that will eat it. This plant grows about three feet in height and puts out green blossoms.
The nettle is very good plant for fattening ducks or turkeys. This weed grows in bunches in sheltry places. If we touch the nettle it stings us and leaves a red mark after it. The dock leaf if rubbed hard into these marks lessens the sting.(continues on next page)- Collector
