    The seanachie believes however that the "Buaid" or gift applied only to the direct descendants of the man who got the gift from the fairies.
    Some Proofs:
    The Seanachie's (Michael Regan's) great grand-uncle, named Regan owned a boat, and with a full crew he went to Ballycastle to his sister's wedding. When all the merriment was over they set off for home and they were only clear of Cárr na Rinne" (Ballycastle Bay) when a gale came on. The was was so strong that they could not make land. It was a south-easterly gale and it blew the boat
