    On the fourth day of November in the year of 1908

    I was invited to a wedding
    by the squire of this place
    There was whiskey rum and
    brandy, ginger beer, and wine
    And all the lads and lassies
    together did combine,
    We had lovely Thomas Tomas there
    the flower of them all,
    He could play his melodian at
    every concert and ball,
    He was the rural postman and
    the girls knew it too,
    For it was early next morning I
    heard he stripped a shoe,
    We had Patrick Leneghan there he
    was a holy show,
    And likewise Thomas Moran from
    the County of Mayo
