  1. The Fianna were of a noble race and Fionn Mac Cool was their leader. The Fianna were great hunters and they lived mostly on the wild animals which they killed.
    Fionn and his followers used to make huts. They got rushes to form their beds. Fionn Mac Cool had all sorts of dogs for killing wild animals.
    Oasian went to Fir-Na-Nog with Niamh of the golden hair. He met this woman one day when he was hunting. There is a place called "Folach Fiadh" in this district. It is supposed to have been named after the Fianna.
    King Connor Mac Nessa is also said to have visited this district with a band of knights.
