    He was removed to the town
    With the cries of young and old.
    His broken-hearted mother,
    She could not be consoled.
    She says "O Blessed Virgin
    You suffered more than me;
    To see your son nailed to cross,
    Upon Mount Calvary.

    He was brought to the Chapel,#
    A High Mass for him was read,
    Upon his breast was laid a cross
    A chalice at his head;
    The altar being dressed in black.
    And his loss we may deplore
    May the Lord have mercy on his soul
    We'll never see him more.

    To see his grand procession,
    Your heart would give a sigh.
    For his innocent parents
    For him did loudly cry
