  1. Oíche na Gaoithe Móire
Do thala an stoirm seo ar an dara lá déag sa bhliain 1839. Scuabadh agus réabadh an ghaoth seo tithe, cocaí féir, cruacha, stacaí coirce agus scrios sí an tír. Tháinig go leor iasc isteach leis an taoide agus scuabadh báid mhóra isteach i bhfód dubh. Bhí fir ag iascach i gCuan Fhóid Duibh an lá roimhe sin agus d'fhág siad na heangacha thíos.
Tráthnóna na gaoithe móire chuaigh siad amach le na heangacha a thógáil ach scuabadh iad anseo agus ansiúd agus sa deireadh tháinig siad isteach i nDumha Locha. De bharr an anró na hoíche sin níor mhair fear acu seo go ndeireadh na bliana.
