  1. I am living in the townland of Carrareagh in the barony of Gallen.
Houses - There are twenty houses in my townland. Four of these houses are slated, fifteen are thatched and one galvanised houses. The commonest name in my townland is "Ruane". The reason that Carrareagh is called that name is because there was a lot of white ditches in it long ago.
The most of the land in my townland is good land. The rest of the land is only middling. There is no lake in Carrareagh. There are not many trees in my townland. One river flows through my townland. It is called the "Carrareagh" river.
