  1. A Leipreachán is a little fairy man about two feet in height. He is not heavy because he sits on a mushroom in the night. He lives in a fort in the daytime.
His work every night is fixing old shoes.
There was once a man who used to go around to different houses listening to fairy tales. One night he heard a great story about a Leipreachán and he made up his mind to catch this Leipreachán.
One bright night he waited out until it was about one o'clock. At last he heard a weak noise near him.
