    meal. Some of the people remember when they had to eat oatmeal bread.
    They used to have an oatmeal cake and a potatoe cake for Christmas. Sometimes they used to have boxty. The people used tp have currant cakes also for Christmas. Oatmeal bread was the first kind of bread the people had long ago.
    Martin Glacken's father who lived in Carracrum had a mill for grinding meal.
    Boxty is made from potatoes. You must grate the potatoes first. Then they are put into a clean cloth and then the water must be squeezed out of them. Then they are put into a basin and made into a cake. After that the cake is put into an oven to bake. When the cake is baked
