    the sea-shore and search for them while they were on the mountain. On the next night Grainne would tell Diarmuid to get a bag of heather and scatter it on the shore where they were going to sleep. Fionn's wise man would tell him that they were on the mountain. In this way they got away from Fionn for a long time.
