When they had the cloth made a tailor came to the house and he made all the clothes that were needed. He stayed in each house about a week.
The people did not wear the same style of clothes long ago as now. Long ago they wore shawls on their head instead of hats and red skirts. They also wore white stockings that they knit themselves.
Sometimes they coloured them with different kinds of flowers. The clothes worn long ago were not as smooth as the clothes worn now but they lasted longer.
