  1. When a person intends to get married in this district he sends a neighbour or a trust-worthy friend to the girl whom he intends to marry. He also sends a bottle of whiskey to her house. This neighbour tells the girl's parents some good qualities about the man that the girl intends to marry. He also settles the amount of money that the girl will give to the man. This is called "matchmaking" and it is very often done at fairs and
