There was a barn in that field once. One evening a man named Charles Ruane was thrashing in it and he was thrown over against the wall. He had to throw the barn because he could not work there any longer.
In the field called "Cnoc na scilling" there is a story told that the people got money there long ago.
William Durhan told me a story about "Cnoc a' cheapaire". There was a big castle there long ago. It was a very rich man lived there.
In the field called "Cnoc á Mhárla" the Fenians were said to have their swords hidden there.
