    the nails. The smith refused and said he would have no hand, act or part in the crucifixion. The messenger came away downhearted. On the way he met a crowd of tinkers and told them his trouble. "Don't worry said one of them. I'll make the nails for you." "Alright," said the messenger. "that 'ill be great." The tinker made the nails, but from that out it was misfortune after misfortune for the tinker, who had to wander the roads with the sky for a roof. The blacksmith had good luck after, good luck for refusing to make the nails and that good luck is still with him.
