  1. One day long ago when Fionn Mac Cumhaill, and his men were coming home from hunting a beautiful deer came out before them. They followed it with their dogs till at last they were tired except Fionn, and his dogs.
    That evening when Fionn was alone a lovely stood before him in the house. She told him that she was the deer he was hunting.
    "I was changed into that shape said she, fo refusing to marry a druid." For three long years I have lived the life of a wild deer, and have often been chased, and hunted.
    Fionn was very pleased with the lady, and he married her. Another day Fionn left her after him. While Fionn was away the druid came
