  1. Old Cures for Diseases.
    Toothache.
    Get salt and warm it and put it to the tooth and it is said to cure it. Also get oaten meal and put it in a cloth and warm it and put it outside on the jaw.
    Mumps.
    Get the skin of bacon and tie it round the neck where the mumps are and it is said to cure them.
    Chincough.
    The milk that the ferret leaves after him is said to cure the chincough.
    Measles
    A plant called the Red Nettle is good for the measles. First get this plant and boil it and give the water that it is boiled in to the person that has the measles.
    Rheumatism.
    The juice of the leaves of a plant called the "Glaisear léan" is supposed to cure rheumatism or else the juice of the roots of a plant called a “Crádhán”
    Headache.
    If a person got a plant called the Uart tsléibe then the juice is taken out the leaves of this
