    so called from the fact that it is a flat marshy place, with a well in the centre from which the village gets its water-supply.
    The people of this village are very superstitious, they are surrounded on all sides by bog, they speak of night-lights on the bogs and weird cries; a natural explanation of this, is not accepted by them.
