    Mrs Ann Doherty of Carrowbawn who is now 74 told me that Tom Hennigan of Carnacull, at a wake in Carrowbawn 64 years ago composed the following song about Maíre Flatley, a servant in the townland. It was a song in praise of Miss Flatley whom he married later.
