    There is an old superstition that the water used in washing feet should not be thrown out by night unless it is left down very easily. There is the probability that the faries will dash the water back on the face of the person that throws it out.
    Long ago when people first began to wear shoes they thought them very queer. When they went to anyplace of importance they wore them half of the way and carried them the remainder of the way.
