    I was speaking to Mrs Halligan the other day and she told me many things pertaining to certain days. She said that there are lucky and unlucky days in every week. She also told me that the 28th of December is the unlucky day of every week. It is called "lá na leanbh" Another thing she said was that Friday was the lucky day of every week. If people are changing from one place to another they always like to change on a Friday or to start doing the farm work. She also told me that anything sown on good Friday is sure to grow. Any person born on Whit Sunday is very bold and hard to manage. Farmers' like to have their early potatoes sown before St. Patrick's day and to have their oats sown before the call of the cuckoo.
