- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)In the village of cluain a chaim adjoining Ballinlag in the Parish of Bohola, there is a large spring well called Tobar Liagh. Michael Salmon who is now about 74 said that one day a calf came out of one of the stables belonging to Michéal Mór Mac Niocláis who lived in the vicinity of the well.
When the farmer's wife saw the calf she followed him and tied her apron around his neck and tried to bring him back, but the calf pulled against her and they both fell into the well and from that day until this no trace of the calf or woman was found because the well must be bottomless.
After that the well became larger and larger until a large river sprang up from it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
