  1. When a girl was getting married long ago they used to get a fortune from their father or mother. They also used to get bedclothes and a lot of other clothes. The Sunday after the wedding all the neighbours used to come and bring a goose or duck or any other fowl to the girl that got married.
When a man and woman used to be going getting married a parade of men used to go with them and they used to play flutes.
I got this from my father Pat Rush (60 yrs.) Culclare.
