All the old people pray around the fire. When they are going home they bring a coal from the fire and throw it into the fields. This will bring luck to their crops and cattle for the year. Some people drive the cattle round the fire and sometimes through it for luck.
St. Brigid's night is a great old favorite night. After dinner we get ready and bring a doll with us and then we go around from house to house collecting money and afterwards we spend it on a feast.
