  1. The following are Cures for the Hic-Cough.
    (1) Nine drops of water to be taken across the handle of a cup.
    (2) Hold in a persons breath while counting to sixty.
    (3) By taking a tight hold of your wrist.
    (4) By telling a person a story that would frighten him such as telling that he stole something.
    Chin-Cough.
    (1) Three spoonfulls of milk that the ferrits leave after them after drinking their milk.
    (2) If you meet a man on a white horse and ask him for a cure for the chin-Cough. The first cure he tells you do it exactly and it will cure it.
    (3) Three ribs of hair taken from a donkeys back and applied to the neck is supposed to cure the Chin-Cough.
