  1. One night as a man named Ruane was coming home from Foxford to his home in Umoon he saw a ghost. He went to Foxford to get shoes mended and as he wanted his shoes he waited till they were mended.
    It was about three o'clock when he was coming home and a skelton of a man walked with him as far as Roches Post Offices in Umoon. He spoke to him three or four times but the ghost never spoke to him at all.
    When he reached home he said that the ghost must want something done for him. He said to himself that it was a woman
