  1. Long ago there lived a man named Tom Hunter in the townland of Carnaward. One night Tom and another man went to a dance in Ballyvary. When they were going home it was very late in the night.
    As they were passing an old fort which was situated in the village of Spring Hill they heard a great noise inside.
    They thought it was somebody that was trying to frighten them. One of the boys looked in among the bushes of the fort.
    He saw a great amount of lights inside in the fort. He also saw people who had been dead for a long time.
