  1. Once upon a time there lived two boys in the townland of Carragolda. They were in the habit of going to a certain house every night card playing.
    One night when they were coming home across the fields they saw twelve lighted candles and a pack of cards on a golden table on the path before them.
    They saw nobody at first but in a few minutes they saw a man coming from a wood that was close by who asked them to play cards with him.
    They said that they would and they sat on the golden chairs and started to play.
