  1. There once lived in Carragolda two men named Pat and Tom Deacy. One day Pat went to Kiltimagh on a message walking. He met friends in the town and he stayed drinking with them until night. It was night when Pat was coming home and he thought he would see a ghost or a fairy.
    When he came within a few hundred yards of his house he saw a big lot of fairies going towards the fort with Tom on their shoulders. Pat stood still wondering what he could do to help his brother. He tried to run and bring him back but some power held him back until the fairies had Tom in the fort.
