  1. There once lived on the top of a hill a small man named Tom Deacy.
    Tom used to go to every fair in Mayo selling cattle that anybody never saw in his own field.
    He used to get drunk every day he went to the fair and he would not come home for a day or two. Someone in the village saw him driving cattle out of the fairies cave in the fort and then all the people knew how he got them.
    The man used to give the money he used go get to the fairies and they said that they would make a fairy of him
