  1. About one hundred years ago there lived in this townland eight boys who used to go about the country building houses. Once when they were working down in Ballylaghan there was a big house unused for a long time. The people were saying it was haunted.
    The boys said they would stay in the house for one night. They went into the house at about seven o'clock and lighted a lamp and six of them went playing cards and the other two kept the fire going.
    At twelve o'clock they heard a knock on the door. One of them went out and searched and could not find anybody.
