  1. An old beggar woman was looking for lodging one dark night. She was passing through a bog called Portdarach. What would she see in the lonely bog but the figure of a woman without a head, standing near a rock. She almost died of fright, but she succeeded in making her way to a cottage where she told what she had seen.
    The people in the cottage told her that it was the figure of a Ghost of a tinker's wife who had been killed by her husband a hundred years
