    Long ago, many were the old cures practised by the people.
    The juice of the dandelion was said to be a cure for any disease of the liver. Parsley and gin mixed is a cure for kidney trouble. The juice of red ivy is said to be a cure for corns. Common earth mixed with water is a cure for a sting of a bee or wasp. The juice of house-leek is said to be a cure for sore eyes.
