  2. There was a lake in the village of Attavally called Loch an Bhric Chaoich (the lake of the blind trout). It was named from a blind trout that was caught in it. The people were afraid to pass by the lake after nightfall for a white horse was seen grazing by its side. The lake has dried up during the last few years.
