  1. In olden times it was a habit for boys to go around to the houses and look in on the windows to see who were the people inside.
    The windows in those old houses were usually small, with four very small panes in them.
    One night, this boy and some others looked in on a certain window, and as soon as he did, a voice from inside said "Take him, take him home with you". Then a child was handed out on the window to the boy, and he brought him home and
