  1. Local Marriage Customs
    Marriages generally take place during "Shrove" which is also called "Scraft".
    Marriages, which take place during certain months of the year, are supposed to be unlucky. "Married in May you will repent many a day".
    "Married in June you are sure to ruin".
    There are certain days which are bleieved to be lucky, while others are unlucky for marriages.
    Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
    And Saturday is no day atal.
