  1. The townland in which I live is called Carrowkeel.
    It is so called because it was once very long and narrow, but, since then, part of it became known as Chaffpool.
    It is in the parish of Mullinabreena and the barony of Corran.
    There are five families amounting to fourteen people living there.
    The types of houses most common are thatched ones.
    Peter Kennedy the only old person in the townland is about seventy-four
