    Whooping cough: (1) Food left by ferrets which can be obtained in the following manner, is a cure for this ailment. Milk must be taken to the owners of a ferret, give more than sufficient to the ferret and whatever is left should be given to the patients and it will cure them in a week.
    (2) Another cure is the broth of a feathered magpie drunk three mornings in succession.
