  1. There is an old forge in the village of Cully. The name of it is Duncans forge. There is no one working in it now but John Duncan used to work in it and he is dead now. It is supposed to be haunted because his wife cut her neck and he hanged himself. When anyone goes into it at night a light runs up the chimney. The tree which he handed himself on, is to be seen yet and nobody would cut it for fear he would haunt them.
