    There are four corners in my bed,
    There are four angels over them spread,
    Mattew, Mark, Luke and John,
    God bless this bed that I lay on.
    God bless us all till evening fall,
    And help is in our wantings,
    Send health and not the wealth,
    Which never has been fated.
    This work we start in the name of the Sacred Heart.
    And by his will we do it,
    And at the last it is the name as the start,
    In the name of his Sacred Heart.
    As I went up the holy land
    I met the Blessed Virgin
    Twelve mass books in her hands
    Twelve bells ringing twelve priests singing
    Open the gates of heaven shore the gates of Hell.
    And let the poor souls into heaven.
