    during the time of Father Devine. He came to where the burning was and he told an old woman in the village "B'Féidir nach mbéinn se na thusa beo ach beidh sé le h-aithne ag an domhan mór cia rinne é." The teachers taught in a house in the village while the school was being built.
    About twenty years ago there was a plague all over the world. It was after the lat European war. It was called the "flu". Many people died in this district. The minute they died they were coffined and buried without any wakes.
