- Long ago many Religious Stories were told. There are very few of those stories told now. Here are a few.
In olden times people had to pay two and six pence to get a mass said. Once a man went to Confession and when he had finished he was giving the priest a half crown to say mass for his intention. The priest told him to leave it on the ledge of the confessional box and that he would take it later. After hearing about seven or eight people, he came out to take the money. It was gone. The priest looked around him vexed He gave a kick to the confessional box and went home.
There was an old priest one time who was getting stiff. He found it very difficult to walk so he stopped shaking holy water(continues on next page)
