  1. Tis late I am captivated by a handsome young man.
And sadly complaining (of n) for my own darling John
Kind Bob he has assisted men his poor heart is true
Through those green woods and valleys I'll wander for you.
My love is far fairer than a fine Summer's day
His breath is far sweeter than the flowers of May
His hair shines like goldrays all the the sun
And he take his denominations from the Drinín Donn.
    II
My love he is gone to cross over the main
And for his long absence I will have cause to mourn
I join the small birds till the Winter comes in
And I'll be a shetered by the leaves of the Drinán Donn.
    III
Next dair day I'll get a feirn from a handsome young man,
And twenty bright kisses from my own darling John
If I had a small boat on the ocean I'd float
And I'd follow my darling wherever he'd go
I'd rather have my darling to sit, sport and play
